A few words on Tax Extensions

If your tax return is on extension, the due date is October 15 2026 (for individuals and calendar year C Corps). However, the due date is a month earlier, September 15, 2026, for partnerships, S Corps and LLCs (filing as partnerships or S Corps). Also, trust and estate (Form 1041) returns, with extension, are due September 30, 2026.

For C Corps or nonprofits with fiscal year-ends, the original tax return and extension due dates can vary.  If you have any questions, please contact us.

IMPORTANT: tax extensions only grant you time to submit your tax forms. Any taxes owed, if unpaid on or before April 15, 2026, should be paid as soon as possible, to avoid penalties and interests. For this reason, do not wait until the last minute to work on your taxes!

Lastly, do not forget to pay your 2026 estimated taxes by the various due dates!
